How does the funding work?

We offer your funding free at the point of delivery and any sessions booked outside of the funding will be charged at the normal session rate. The way we offer the funding varies slightly depending on whether your child is eligible for 15 hours or 30 hours. Please book a visit to find out more about how we offer the funding.

2 year old funding: To qualify for 2 year old funding, you must meet certain eligibility criteria. To find out whether you're eligible, please visit:

All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible to receive 15 hours of childcare per week over 38 weeks. You do not have to apply for this, your child automatically becomes eligible the term after their 3rd birthday i.e 1st September, 1st January or 1st April.

For parents who earn 'the equivalent of 16 hours per week at minimum wage', you will be entitled to an extra 15 hours per week childcare (30 hours a week over 38 weeks of the year). You will need to apply for a 30 hour code through which you will need to provide to your childcare setting along with your National Insurance number before the term starts. For example, if your child is entitled to received 30 hours from January, you will need to apply for and receive your code before 31st December.
